FTPit 1.0 for FileMaker

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

COMM-UNITY NETWORKING SYSTEMS RELEASES FTPIT 1.0 FINAL, A CROSS PLATFORM
FILEMAKER PRO PLUG-IN.

Fort Worth, TX, May 21, 2001 -- Comm-Unity Networking Systems, creators of
the excellent SMTPit and POP3it email plug-ins, announces the release of
FTPit 1.0 Final, for FileMaker Pro 4.x and 5.x for both Macintosh and
Windows Platforms.

FTPit uses the File Transfer Protocol to allow you to upload and download
files to and from an FTP site. It also allows you to upload text from a
FileMaker field directly to a file on an FTP site. You do not need an
external FTP client to use this plug-in, just FileMaker Pro.

You can easily integrate FTPit into your existing solutions. However, a
basic knowledge of FileMaker Pro Scripting is needed. The documentation for
FTPit covers how to use the FTPit plug-in.

"FTPit is great. Faster than [a standalone Mac FTP client]. The FTP_Example
[database] is so well written. Even if someone doesn't care about FTP, the
FTP_Example [database] is a great demonstration for using FileMaker Pro as
a File Browser/Manager." - Marino Pascal, FileMaker Pro developer

Possible Uses and Features of FTPit

- Upload or download any file you have access to on any FTP site.
- Upload a full static webpage using only FileMaker Pro and FTPit.
- Queue up multiple uploads and downloads and sit back while they all get
uploaded or downloaded.
- Watch everything that FTPit is doing with its Status Window.
- Catalog all the files on an FTP site using FTPit's directory listing
functions.

Fully Functional Demonstration version available

A fully functional demonstration version of FTPit, along with full working
example databases and Full Documentation, is available from our web site
listed below. The example databases include a simple Text Upload example
database that show you how to upload text from a FileMaker Pro Field. There
is also a more advanced FTP client example that mimics a normal FTP client.
Until you register your copy of FTPit, it will show a splash screen when
FileMaker Pro starts. Once you register your copy, the splash screen will
disappear.

Pricing and Availability

A Single User License (covers one computer at a time) for FTPit is $45, and
the Site License (covers all computers at one corporate location,
cross-platform) is $170. A Developer's License (allows you to redistribute
FTPit, royalty free, with any one solution you make) is now available for
$540. A Single Educational/Non-Profit License is available for $35.
Licenses can be ordered from our secure web site. For information on
Educational/Non-Profit Site License discounts and Developer Licenses,
