World's Only Mac OS X Native Font Management and
Repair Software Gets
Panther Compatibility Upgrade, New Installer, and
Adobe CS Support

December 30, 2003  [Los Gatos, CA] Insider
Software announced today the
release of version 1.4 of FontAgent Pro, the
world's first OS X native
font management and repair utility and the only
font manager to offer
auto-activation in Adobe Photoshop CS. FontAgent
Pro has created a new
class of font management and repair software for
Mac OS X users, and
the new release brings all of its strengths to
users of Panther (Mac OS
X 10.3.2), Apple's latest generation operating
system. In addition to
Panther support under Mac OS X 10.3.2, the new
release takes advantage
of Apple's latest installer technology and a new
simplified installation process.

Written in Cocoa and entirely OS X native,
FontAgent Pro is the only
font utility that handles the tasks of font
management and repair in a
single program. With a few clicks, it repairs or
eliminates corrupt
fonts, partial and unmatched fonts, duplicate
fonts and unnecessary
point sizes, and builds optimized, organized font
libraries. Users can
then build font sets, activate and deactivate
fonts, as well as use the
unique Font Player to preview fonts and print
font catalogs. FontAgent
Pro's clean, modern interface uses a single,
unified window design and
extensive drag-and-drop support to make any font
management task simple and straightforward.

FontAgent Pro offers a unique set of features
never before available in
a single product, including the ability
to:

* Define multiple font libraries that can be
opened simultaneously
* Rename font files with meaningful file names
for easy management
* Verify fonts on the fly as they are imported,
activated, or exported
* Reorganize scattered fonts into useful
libraries that maintain original
font-file formats
* Perform extensive analysis and repair damaged
or corrupt fonts
* View lists of fonts and group and sort them
with a click - even in WYSIWYG mode
* Automatically activate and deactivate fonts,
using Insider's SmartSense technology that incorporates FontAgent's
plug-in architecture to ensure compatibility even with non-Mac OS X
compliant applications
* Preview and print fonts with proprietary
FontPlay technology that displays and prints any string through
selected fonts the way a media player plays songs
* Instantly create and print a font book showing
different text and styles so users can see what their work will look
like in print

FontAgent Pro offers a very intuitive and
familiar interface, and is
the ideal replacement for ATM Deluxe for
Macintosh, as well as other
older font managers that were not designed from
the ground up for Mac OS X.

The New Face of Font Management and
Repair

FontAgent Pro enables users to build font
libraries and font sets,
automatically activate and deactivate fonts,
preview fonts in various
typefaces, and save system resources and precious
time by opening only
the fonts required for a user's current
projects.  Only FontAgent Pro
takes advantage of the rich features available in
Cocoa that have
permitted such innovations as Insider's
trademarked FontPlay
technology that permits real-time interactive
display of fonts, making
the selection of the perfect font a
joy.

System Requirements

FontAgent Pro requires Mac OS X version 10.2 or
later (including
Panther), 3MB of available disk space, and 7MB of
memory.

Pricing and Availability

FontAgent Pro is priced at a suggested retail of
$99.95 ($89.95 for
electronic download) and is available for
immediate download at Insider
