FmPro Migrator 4.56 for MacOS X - Support for FileMaker 10

SAN FRANCISCO (MacWorld) - Jan. 5, 2009 - .com Solutions Inc. Releases
FmPro Migrator Developer Edition 4.56 With Support for FileMaker Pro 10,
Bento 2 and Valentina Migrations.

FmPro Migrator Developer Edition 4.56 has been updated to add support for
performing Table Consolidation projects and Bento 2 migrations with
FileMaker Pro Advanced 10.

FmPro Migrator Developer Edition's Table Consolidation feature performs an
automated batch copy of tables/fields, TOs, relationships, layouts and
scripts. Automated re-mapping of TOs is performed within each script and
layout object. Script and layout dependencies are resolved during the
automated two-pass processing of scripts and layouts.

FmPro Migrator Developer Edition performs the automated conversion of Bento
1.x & Bento 2.x files to FileMaker Pro 10. Users of any version of Bento
may upsize their database files to FileMaker Pro 10 for increased
performance, multi-user and cross-platform compatibility. FileMaker Pro
developers can use Bento to quickly prototype professional-looking forms,
which can then be converted and copied into FileMaker Pro with FmPro
Migrator Developer Edition.

Bento 2 schema enhancements have made it possible for FmPro Migrator
Developer Edition to convert Bento forms with greater precision than was
previously implemented for Bento 1 files. Bento 2 forms having labels at
the top and side are now supported along with the 10 new Bento 2 built-in
themes. Previously all FileMaker Pro layouts were created with labels only
at the left side of each field.

FmPro Migrator Developer Edition 4.56 includes a new relationship
conversion feature for related tables appearing on each Bento 2 form. When
a related table is added to a Bento 2 form, Bento creates a JoinTable
within its schema in order to implement the relationship between each of
the two Library tables. FmPro Migrator Developer Edition copies the table
structure and data within each JoinTable, creates an equivalent
relationship within FileMaker Pro, and creates a portal to the JoinTable on
each layout where the related table is displayed.

FmPro Migrator Developer Edition extends the functionality of the FileMaker
Pro 10 Bento Data Source import feature with the following enhancements:
* Convert Bento forms into FileMaker Pro 10 layouts (FmPro Migrator
Exclusive Feature).
* Convert Bento URL/IM/Email/Media/File and Library relationships to
FileMaker Pro 10 (FmPro Migrator Exclusive Feature).
* Optimize Bento relationships for use within FileMaker Pro 10 (FmPro
Migrator Exclusive Feature).
* Compatible with Bento 1.x & Bento 2.x backup files on Mac OS X and
Windows (FmPro Migrator Exclusive Feature).
* Transfer all Bento data and primary key fields for building relationships
in FileMaker Pro 10 (FmPro Migrator Exclusive Feature).
* Convert Bento primary keys/counters into FileMaker Pro 10 auto
increment/next value fields (FmPro Migrator Exclusive Feature)

FmPro Migrator Developer Edition 4.56 also adds support for FileMaker Pro
to Valentina database migrations. Valentina is a fast object-relational
database suitable for embedded application development as well as
multi-user client server and web configurations. Valentina can be used as a
high performance, royalty free replacement for SQLite as an embedded
database.

FmPro Migrator Developer Edition is priced at ($200) per developer and
includes a copy of FmPro Migrator Developer Edition for both Mac OS X
(Universal Binary) and Windows platforms. Existing FmPro Migrator Developer
Edition customers may upgrade to FmPro Migrator Developer Edition 4.56 at
no charge. Bento 1 users may upgrade their files for free by downloading
the Bento 2 Trial Edition software, in order to take advantage of the
enhanced FmPro Migrator Developer Edition migration features.
