FM:NEXUS RELEASES INSPECTOR 1.0

-- Fast, Comprehensive Analysis Tool for FileMaker Developers Assists in Building Better Solutions and Keeping Them Problem Free --

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., January 10, 2006 -- Macworld Conference and Expo, Booth #927 -- FM:Nexus today announced the release and immediate availability of Inspector 1.0, its comprehensive database analysis tool. Inspector 1.0 is available immediately from beezwax datatools, inc. through their online store (see related release).

Developed by FM:Nexus, Inspector 1.0 determines and provides essential information developers need to build rock solid solutions, execute intelligent maintenance and keep solutions problem free. Inspector quickly and thoroughly analyzes the metadata of FileMaker solutions. The analysis result clarifies the structure, elements, relationships and other crucial detailed information, highlighting problems in troubled areas.

"Inspector provides comprehensive analysis of FileMaker solutions with supersonic speed," said Vincenzo Menanno, founder and president of FM:Nexus. "Inspector helps FileMaker developers build better solutions and build them faster. Better solutions because the more you use Inspector, the less likely problems will be introduced without your knowing. Faster because it provides you with all the cross- referencing you need in order to stay on top of your project and maintain a bird's eye view."

"Inspector provides several impressive features I'd never seen before in any type of FileMaker analysis software for developers," said Kent Searight, founder of 3rd Rock Data, LLC and beta tester. "The ability to sort elements in reports by the element name allows me to view elements in the same order as I view them in FileMaker. Its new search and cross referencing capabilities are very powerful, very useful, and undoubtedly the crowning achievement of Inspector. FM:Nexus listened to the wants and wishes of fellow developers and created a top notch FileMaker development tool."

Using FileMaker's Database Design Report (DDR), Inspector provides a visual overview of basetables, table occurrences, layouts, layout objects, scripts, fields, privilege sets and much more. Inspector analyses outline specific problems with a colorful visual interface that helps developers quickly understand which issues require attention. Offering detailed information helpful in making a deletion decision, Inspector visually displays the references and dependencies used by any element, such as a field, layout, etc.

Inspector provides search capabilities that are extremely comprehensive and flexible, such as the ability to search within any calculation for any element, field, text, function, custom function, plug-in function, table occurrence or literal string. Security Perspective provides a quickly readable visual presentation of elements in security-impacted areas, such as basetables, layouts, layout objects, scripts, script steps, and value lists. Comparison Checking shows what's been changed, and how it's been changed, between multiple analyses.

As a runtime solution, Inspector allows developers to utilize it alongside their solution development. Inspector facilitates change documentation, whether for ones own records, team members or clients.
