FileWave Starts 2002 With Stronger Cross-Platform Position

San Francisco, January 3, 2002 - FileWave (USA), Inc. has lots to offer in
2002, unveiling the revamped FileWave=AE XClient 1.0.1, FileWave=AE 4.5.1 an=
d
Asset Trustee=81 6.5 at the Macworld Expo in San Francisco, January 8-11,
2002, MacTech Central Booth #3426. Additionally, interested expo attendees
and the media are invited to sign-up for a cutting-edge, visual
demonstration at the W Hotel, 181 Third Street, of the company's latest
developments for cross-platform asset tracking and for centralized
automated software management on Apple's Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X.

Consolidating its position as a premier software solution provider for both
Macintosh and Windows worlds, FileWave will feature a presentation of three
innovative products: FileWave=AE XClient 1.0.1, the new FileWave=AE 4.5.1
release, and the latest version 6.5 of Asset Trustee=81. All of these
products align with IT departmental and enterprise goals, helping companies
achieve unprecedented efficiencies in license, asset and financial
management of their network resources.

FileWave=AE XClient 1.0.1 - Unparalleled compatibility with MacOS X

MacOS X represents the future of the Macintosh operating system. It is
unsurprising that FileWave is proud to announce that FileWave=AE XClient wil=
l
be fully compatible with MacOS X. According to corporate management, this
new product paves the way for investigating the potential operation of its
FileWave=AE software with many other operating systems. The latest version=
of
the FileWave=AE XClient is a completely new development effort, set up as a
MacOS X Cocoa application, and running as a UNIX daemon process.

FileWave=AE XClient brings considerable benefits to users. They are offere=
d
the ability to connect to current FileWave Server versions running on MacOS
9. In addition, users are ensured top-class support for all major features
of the current FileWave=AE 4.5.1 client. Backwards compatibility is therefor=
e
guaranteed.

FileWave=AE 4.5.1 - Take full control in your Macintosh world

Dramatically improved centralized automated management of software, and
full compliance with the MacOS 9 Multiple Users technology - these are some
of the key characteristics of the new FileWave=AE 4.5.1. A host of innovativ=
e
features include support of URL's for downloading, a new "downloaded" state
to aid in reporting the state of delivered files on the client's Macintosh,
and easier management of Quark XPressTM XTensions. Administration has also
been improved, giving hierarchical views of files to be delivered. In
addition, a Recursive Folder Delete feature in the Blacklist Editor
optimizes removal of unwanted folders. These enhancements and added
features, part of FileWave's ongoing commitment to development, give users
unparalleled scalability and control.

Asset TrusteeTM 6.5 - Asset-tracking made faster and easier

In its latest version, FileWave's cross-platform automated asset tracking
solution, Asset Trustee=81, features improved layout and design. It makes it
easier than ever before for users to navigate and search for information.
The highly reliable asset management solution is now even faster in
importing scanned information into the Asset Trustee Inventory Database.
Asset Trustee=81 stores this information in a flat file format, allowing
easier reporting and simplifying crucial organizational decisions.

A further enhancement to Asset Trustee=81 6.5 is the Windows based Scanner
and Collector applications. These newly designed executables make the setup
of the Windows based software much simpler.

The Scanner on the Mac reports the serial numbers of the Macintosh, USB
Devices and FireWire Devices. These new features create an even more robust
reporting about installed Macintoshes.

Key benefits of this new version include the ability to set and enforce
software and hardware standards, determination of compliance with software
licensing laws, and features to aid help desk operations. Taken together,
these benefits confirm Asset Trustee=81 6.5 as the foremost cross-platform
asset management solution available today.
