FileMaker and ServiceObjects Announce Free Web Services For
FileMaker Pro 6 Users
 
Business-ready XML solutions deliver real-time data directly into
FileMaker Pro 6 databases
 
SANTA CLARA, CA - Nov. 20, 2002 - Starting today, FileMaker,
Inc. is making available the following four free Web services for
FileMaker Pro 6 users in conjunction with ServiceObjects, Inc., a
leader in building web services, downloadable free of charge at (a
href=3D"https://so.filemaker.com/servlet/so/so.html"
)https://so.filemaker.com/servlet/so/so.html(/a) now through September
30, 2003:
 
* Package Comparison - Save time and money by comparing
shipping costs across multiple carriers (including DHL, Federal
Express, UPS and USPS), as well as multiple shipping methods.

* Package Tracking - Track packages across multiple carriers
from a central Web interface.

* Address Validation - Quickly verify street address
information to reduce errors, lower mailing costs and improve customer
service.

* Email validation -Verify email address in real-time to
improve customer feedback and reduce time and cost for follow-up
emailing.
 
All of the ServiceObjects' DOTS =81Web Services may be accessed
100 times per day.

Inc.   "Through ServiceObjects, FileMaker Pro developers
will have ready access to Web services so they can create custom
applications that automatically gather and share information over the

services over the Web, FileMaker developers can quickly create custom
applications that contain real-time data drawn from many different

changes."
 
FileMaker Pro 6 users may also download customized XSLT
(Extensible Style Sheets) free at (a
href=3D"http://www.filemaker.com/xml/xslt_library.html"
)http://www.filemaker.com/xml/xslt_library.html(/a). The stylesheets
allow for XML data exchange between FileMaker Pro 6 and specific XML
based data sources. All use of the web services and customized XSLT
style sheets are subject to the terms and conditions stated on the
FileMaker Web site.
