FETCH 5 MAKES FILE TRANSFER EASY
ETNA, N.H.--Fetch Softworks announces that Fetch 5, the latest
version of the most downloaded file transfer client for the
Macintosh, is now available at http://fetchsoftworks.com. Fetch 5
features SFTP support and a redesigned user interface emphasizing
simplicity and ease of use. Other new features include automatic
support for StuffIt, Zip, Tar, Gzip and other common file formats,
Automatic Passive Mode for improved server and firewall
compatibility, faster file transfers, Bonjour (Rendezvous) support,
Unicode file names, Dock progress, improved AppleScript support, and
extensive online help.
Fetch 5 strives to simplify the process of transferring files for new
users and experts alike. The most common commands are front and
center for easy access. The interface is modeled on the Mac OS X
Finder, so that users are immediately comfortable and productive.
Context-sensitive help is always available, and error messages are
presented in clear English.
Beta testers have raved about the improvements in Fetch 5. Stephen
C. Holtzman of D-ZIGN S.A.B writes that "Fetch 5 has set the standard
once again. It is so smooth and simple to use, the interface is
extremely easy and the program works flawlessly." Anthony Haase of
KZP Design Services reports that "No matter the task, whether it is
delivering a 40mb file to a professional printer, or uploading a
newly changed page to a client's website, Fetch 5 gets the job done."
Fetch 5 is compatible with Mac OS X 10.2.4 or later (including Mac OS
X 10.4 "Tiger").
Fetch 5 is free to try for 15 days, and a single-user license is $25.
Upgrades to Fetch 5 are $15; customers who purchased Fetch after
March 9, 2005 are eligible for a free upgrade.
