AEC Software Releases FastTrack Schedule 9.1, New Universal Version
Adds Integration with Mindjet MindManager

Running natively on Intel-based Macs, FastTrack Schedule is the first
cross-platform project management application to integrate with
leading "mind mapping" solution

STERLING, VA -- October 17, 2006 - AEC Software, a leading developer
of business productivity solutions, announced today the release of
FastTrack Schedule 9.1, the latest update to the company's flagship
project management (PM) software for both the Mac and Windows
environments. FastTrack 9.1 runs natively on Intel-based Macs and
adds support for integration with Mindjet MindManager, a leading
productivity application that that provides a highly interactive,
visual interface to improve team thinking, planning, and
collaboration. FastTrack Schedule 9.1 is free for Mac users of
FastTrack Schedule 9.

"AEC Software is very pleased to help project managers tap into the
performance potential of the new Intel-based Macs with our latest
version of FastTrack Schedule," said Dennis Bilowus, President and
CEO of AEC Software. "We are especially proud to be able to say we
have been helping our users with business productivity solutions from
the time when they ran them on the Mac Plus (1985) all the way
through to today's MacBook Pro and the new iMac. Many of the same
people who first ran FastTrack Schedule on their Mac SEs in 1988
remain loyal users of our software today."

"The integration of FastTrack Schedule with MindManager is testament
to the innovation of the rapidly growing community of Mac
developers," said Ron Okamoto, Apple's vice president of Worldwide
Developer Relations. "We're thrilled that AEC Software now has a
Universal version of FastTrack to take advantage of the blazing
performance of the Intel-based Macs."

In addition to optimizing the application for Intel-based Macs, AEC
Software has formed a partnership with Mindjet Corporation to further
extend the power of each company's applications. With a few clicks,
FastTrack Schedule 9.1 can quickly import data from Mindjet
MindManager files, transforming visual project "maps" into editable
FastTrack schedules.

"Our collaboration with Mindjet has created an end-to-end,
process-focused and cross-platform pathway for planning and executing
on nearly any undertaking," said Bilowus. "The combination of
FastTrack Schedule 9.1 and MindManager can shepherd teams from idea
generation straight through resource planning, ongoing management and
tracking, and finally to project realization. It's a powerful way to
promote both organizational creativity and individual accountability."

FastTrack Schedule, which now also includes enhancements for
cross-platform image compatibility, enables users to quickly and
simply plan projects, present plans clearly with colorful timelines,
track performance precisely, and easily share project information.
FastTrack Schedule is easy to use and implement, resulting in high
adoption rates and more successful PM initiatives. Advanced project
managers who are accustomed to Microsoft Project can use that
application with the assurance that project information captured in
FastTrack Schedule will seamlessly integrate with Project. And
because FastTrack Schedule is fully supported on the Mac platform, it
can help organizations with both Macs and PCs bridge departments,
regardless of operating system.

"AEC Software has built a solid reputation for delivering a powerful
but easy-to-use product to both the Mac and PC communities," said
Scott Raskin, Mindjet CEO. "In particular, its longstanding
experience in the Mac market makes AEC Software an exceptional
partner as we continue our progress in delivering solutions for this
growing segment of business users."
