Eleven cross platform Troi Plug-ins available for FileMaker Pro 6

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Eleven cross platform Troi Plug-ins available for FileMaker Pro 6.

Alphen a/d Rijn, The Netherlands, July 29th, 2002--Troi
Automatisering today announced that all eleven Troi Plug-ins run
perfectly with FileMaker Pro 6.

We have finished testing our plug-ins with the newly announced
FileMaker Pro 6, and all of them are compatible with FileMaker Pro 6
running under Mac OS, Mac OS X and Windows.

What are the Troi Plug-ins?

Troi Plug-ins extend the functionality of FileMaker Pro 6, the
leading workgroup database software, from FileMaker Inc.
(www.filemaker.com). Each plug-in helps you solve a different problem:

- Troi Activator Plug-in can trigger scripts on a different computer,
even over the Internet.

- Troi Clipsave Plug-in can save and restore the clipboard. Ideal for
developers using the clipboard in their scripts.

- Troi Coding Plug-in helps you secure your FileMaker data by
encryption and enables safe export and import for example via email.

- Troi Dialog Plug-in helps you show customizable dialogs. With a
calculation you can specify all aspects like the text, number of
buttons and even icons. It can show input dialogs, list dialogs, a
temporary flash dialog and progress bars.

- Troi File Plug-in, with its 48 functions, is a power tool for
getting access to files and folders outside the FileMaker Pro
database. Any file stored on the computer can be accessed: create,
delete and write in any format or import any file. It can create
thumbnails of images of different sizes or batch import them.

- Troi Grabber Plug-in adds video image grabbing functions. With it
you can take a picture from a video camera and put it into a
container field. And it can record movies too.

- Troi Graphic Plug-in adds color container creation, screen shot
capture and making of thumbnails.

- Troi Number Plug-in makes it possible to show a running balance of
a value in any portal, especially sorted portals. It does so
on-the-fly, whenever any portal data is entered or edited, including
changes to the sort key field(s).

- Troi Ranges Plug-in uses a starting date and an ending date to
generate a range of values between those two dates. The Troi Ranges
plug-in will generate number ranges as well.

- Troi Serial Plug-in gives you easy and powerful access to one or
more of the computer's serial ports.

- Troi Text Plug-in adds text functions, like internal XML Parsing, a
SumText function which automatically concatenates all text from a
field in a related file. It also adds: ANDText (all lines that are
the same in 2 text fields) XORText (all lines that are different)
NOTText function (all lines that are in the first text field but not
in the second). Also helps you get unique lines and words, sort lines
and get one line.

Minor update of Troi Text plug-in 2.1.0.1

We have changed the download of Troi Text Plug-in, which now has
version number 2.1.0.1. But note that the Troi Text Plug-in itself
still has version 2.1. This is changed in version 2.1.0.1:
- Included the latest regifunc.fp5 example file
- (Mac) removed 'carb' resource in the plug-in, as this is no longer
required and could interfere with PrintToPDF.

You can download the latest version of Troi Text Plug-in here:

Auto Update Plug-ins

We also posted an example file from Sanne van Aller-de Buck of of the
The Knowledge Factory (www.tkfy.com) which explains how to start
using the Auto Update feature introduced with FileMaker Server 5.5.
It can help you automate installing and updating plug-ins. You can
find this AutoPluginInstall.fp5 example file here:

Fully functional demo versions of each Troi Plug-in are available for

later), and for Windows 95/98/Me and NT/2000/XP. Troi Plug-ins should
