Electric Rain Releases Swift 3D for the Macintosh

Industry-Leading 3D Vector Graphics Software is the First Tool Of Its Kind
Available for the Macintosh Community

BOULDER, Colo., Oct. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Electric Rain, Inc.(R) today
announced the release of its newest version of their 3D vector graphics
tool, Swift 3D(TM) v1.0 for the Macintosh(R). This powerful standalone
design tool allows users to create vector-based 3D imagery that compliments
2D and motion graphic authoring tools such as Macromedia Flash and Adobe
LiveMotion.

"After Swift 3D v1.0 Windows was released in April, we received thousands
of emails asking us to support the Macintosh platform. It was very apparent
that a Mac version of Swift 3D was our next critical mission," commented
Mike Soucie, President of Electric Rain. "Electric Rain is passionate about
supplying innovative multimedia tools to the Macromedia Flash and graphics
community and we were determined to allow Mac users access to our 3D vector
graphics technology."

After five months of development and testing, Electric Rain has answered
the call for a version of Swift 3D that runs natively on the Macintosh OS
(Version 7.5.3 and above). The user interface is very similar to the
original Windows version and its features include all of Swift 3D's basic
capabilities, plus several new additions since the April release of the
Windows version.

"Macromedia Flash is the standard for delivering high-impact, interactive
Web experiences and has continually supported Macintosh users," explained
Eric J. Wittman, Director of Flash Product Management for Macromedia. "We
are excited that Electric Rain has chosen to port its three dimensional
vector graphics tool, Swift 3D, to the Mac as well. There has been a
growing demand for a 3D vector solution that exports to the Macromedia
Flash format (SWF), and our Flash community will be excited to see Swift 3D
Macintosh released."

The retail price for both Swift 3D v1.0 Macintosh and Windows platforms is
$139.00 USD. There is a cross-platform upgrade price of $69.50 for users
who already own the Windows version of Swift 3D and would like to purchase
the Macintosh version. In addition, Electric Rain offers educational and
volume licensing discounts. More information about Swift 3D can be found at
www.swift3d.com or by calling Electric Rain at 1-888-613-1500.

About Swift 3D

Swift 3D is the first vector graphics software of its kind enabling
designers to quickly create 3D content for use with popular vector
authoring tools such as Macromedia Flash and Adobe LiveMotion. Swift 3D is
not just a 3D model converter; it's an intuitive 3D application for
creating, editing and animating 3D images. These images can be created from
fonts and basic 3D primitives within Swift 3D, or imported from other
popular applications like 3D Studio(TM) (3DS), Adobe(R) Illustrator(R) (AI)
or any program that exports Encapsulated PostScript(TM) files (EPS).

Swift 3D allows extensive control over the extrusion, rotation, coloring
and animation of 3D images. Pre-built drag and drop animations and powerful
keyframe animation enable users to easily apply motion to new or imported
images. These images are then converted into a vector file format (SWF,
Sequential EPS or AI) and exported in a variety of styles including
outlines, meshes, flat shading, average shading and gradient shading --
giving users control over image quality and file size.
