ELECTRIC BUTTERFLY RELEASES UNIHELP 1.7

Support for Virtual Volumes Added to Cross-Platform Help System for
REALbasic Developers

LOS ANGELES, California (March 22, 2005) - Electric Butterfly announces the
immediate availability of UniHelp 1.7, the award-winning help system for
REALbasic. UniHelp provides an easy-to-use, feature-rich solution for
REALbasic developers who want to add online help to their cross-platform
applications. Version 1.7, which is a free update for all registered
UniHelp customers, includes improved help navigation and adds support for
Virtual Volumes.

Apple Help Viewer, Microsoft HTML Help, WinHelp.... Why waste precious
development time designing and compiling a different Help system for each
platform when you can easily use UniHelp for all of them? Just drag the
UniHelp components folder into your REALbasic project, add a few lines of
code, create your external help pages, and that's it -- instant online help
for your compiled REALbasic applications that works on Classic Mac, Mac OS
X, and Microsoft Windows.

Key Features:

-- Displays Both HTML and ASCII Text Files.
-- Supports URL Links, Relative Links, Anchors, and Email Links in HTML.
-- Parses More Than 20 Standard HTML Tags.
-- Parses More Than 60 HTML Accentuated and Special Characters.
-- Supports Images, Video, and Audio.
-- Built-in Search Engine.
-- Supports Context-Sensitive Help.
-- Familiar Help-style Interface with Table of Contents, Back, Forward,
Home, Copy and Print buttons.
-- Customizable Icons, Title Bar, Start Page, Contents Sequencing, Font,
Window Positioning, etc.
-- GUI Support for English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch,
German, and Japanese.
-- Small Footprint: Since Your Help Pages are External, only the UniHelp
Module is Compiled with Your RB App.
-- Supports Help Pages placed in a REALbasic Virtual Volume.
-- Run REALbasic Methods from within your HTML help pages by clicking on
HTML-based UHScript hyperlinks.
-- Easy to Use and Royalty-Free!

"UniHelp" and "Electric Butterfly" are never mentioned anywhere on the
UniHelp interface, providing you with a full-featured generic Help solution
-- your software customers will think you built it yourself!

What's New in UniHelp 1.7:

-- UniHelp now supports Virtual Volumes! Place all of your help pages and
related subdirectories and help graphics inside a single REALbasic Virtual
Volume file. UniHelp 1.7 displays your help pages and Table of Contents as
usual, using the Virtual Volume format like a database. Distributing your
help in a single file, cross-platform Virtual Volume enables your
application to be more portable! Please note: this new feature is optional,
using a standard help folder is also still supported.

-- Improved help navigation! By popular demand, the currently displayed
help page is always highlighted in the Table of Contents, even if the page
request did not originate from a Table of Contents selection. Perform a
search, utilize context-sensitive help, click the Back/Next arrow buttons,
or click on an HTML hyperlink to jump to a new help page and its location in
the Table of Contents will be automatically highlighted, showing you exactly
where you are in the help system at all times.

-- New Virtual Volume boolean parameter added to the RunUniHelp method,
notifying UniHelp whether your help pages are located in a Virtual Volume
(True) or a standard folder (False).

-- UniHelp's parsing of Relative Path HTML hyperlinks is now faster and more
efficient.
