easy beat 1.2 - features Internet Search for MIDI Files

Hagenberg, AUSTRIA, October-18-2000. UNI SOFTWARE PLUS is proud to announce
version 1.2 of the popular music software easy beat.

Many things have been added, fixed and improved since version 1.1. The
following is an incomplete extract from the list of changes, which should
give you a brief impression of the most important enhancements.

+ MIDI file search: easy beat now has a "Find Song" command that
lets you search for MIDI files on the WWW. The search results
appear in a new window. Double-clicking an item downloads the
file and directly opens it as a new song window.
+ There is a new "info" icon in the song header. Clicking the icon
opens the "Song Info" dialog.
+ When an imported MIDI file contains unsupported MIDI messages,
easy beat no longer shows an alert; instead, the "info" icon
becomes a warning icon, and the "Song Info" dialog lists the
unsupported MIDI messages.
+ easy beat now remembers the horizontal scrolling position when
you save and re-open a song.
+ When easy beat exports and re-imports a MIDI file, certain
settings (such as loop settings and display width) are maintained.
+ Web menu: A new menu with a world icon contains convenient commands
to contact UNI SOFTWARE PLUS on the web and via e-mail.
+ A couple of problems have been fixed - see the version history
enclosed in the package for more details.

easy beat 1.2 comes with an additional "Delta Manual" that describes the
new features in detail. If you already used easy beat 1.1, this document
contains all you need to know to use the new features.

For newcomers - what is easy beat?
==================================

With easy beat, you can compose your songs by drawing notes or recording
them with a MIDI instrument, see up to 16 tracks in multiple views, choose
from 128 instruments and 9 drum sets, print the score and tabulature, add
effects and variations, listen to your song using QuickTime or an external
synthesizer, and create MIDI files or QuickTime movies for the web.

As its name suggests, easy beat is music for the Mac as it should be:
powerful, yet easy to use. Instead of the usual tool-based user interface,
easy beat uses a simple and intuitive point-and-click technique. Adding,
selecting, moving, copying notes - all these operations are done with
simple mouse gestures.

And all this is made available at the very reasonable price of only US$ 89.

- A Macintosh with a 68020 processor and 90 MHz or a PowerPC,
- Mac OS 7.0 or newer (Mac OS 9 recommended),
- QuickTime 3 or newer (QuickTime 4 recommended).
No extra hardware is required to compose, play and print songs.
If an external synthesizer or a MIDI instrument is attached to your Mac,
easy beat can use them to play and record songs.

The package contains the fully functional version of easy beat which can be
used to explore all of easy beat's features. Only the Save and Print
commands are restricted in trial mode. These limitations can be removed by
registering easy beat with a license key.

The price for a single license of easy beat is US$ 89,- This price does not
include VAT (VAT is applicable to residents of the European Union) and is
for the "unboxed version". "Unboxed" means that you download the easy beat
package from our server yourself. If you cannot get easy beat via the
Internet, you can order a CD-ROM version for an additional charge of US$ 20.
