Cross-compile Valentina for REALbasic Professional 1.8 released

UPGRADE SUPPORTS REALBASIC 2.1 CROSS COMPILATION, IMPROVED DEBUGGING WITH
DCON

May 1, 2000. Beaverton, Oregon. Paradigma Software today unveiled Valentina
for REALbasic Professional 1.8, an advanced toolkit for compilation of
database applications on Macintosh and Windows platforms, using REAL
Software's award winning rapid application development environment.

Valentina for REALbasic Professional 1.8 supports full compilation of
Valentina enabled REALbasic applications to Macintosh and Windows platforms
when used with REAL Software's REALbasic Professional 2.1. Also new is
support for the Dcon system extension for advanced debugging of Valentina
database applications. V4RB Professional also includes a single user license
of Valentina RDBMS, normally sold for $49, an application for rapid, visual
creation of Valentina "object relational" databases.

Valentina for REALbasic Professional 1.8 is the first release in the
Valentina 1.8 product line update. All Valentina line products now include
support of traditional RDBMS relational structures for easier importing of
non Valentina databases, VarChar fields supporting variable sized database
fields, and two new data types.

"REALbasic 2.1 is a great way to make cross-platform applications. With V4RB
Professional 1.8, REALbasic developers can develop and debug advanced, ultra
fast database applications from one set of source," said Ruslan Zasukhin,
founder of Paradigma Software.

All Valentina development kits support the Valentina set of SQL commands and
Regex searches, a powerful way to do handle complex database and text
searches. They can also use QuickTime to store JPEGs in a compressed format,
in addition to storage of any BLOB data, including text, graphics, audio or
video. Development kits are also available for Purity Software's WebSiphon,
Macromedia Director, Metrowerk's CodeWarrior and Microsoft's Visual C++.
Valentina XCMD is currently in closed beta.

Valentina for REALbasic Professional 1.8 is available for $299.95 directly
from Paradigma Software or through authorized distributors and resellers.
For the month of May, 2000, current users of Valentina for REALbasic can
upgrade for $100 to the Professional version. Beginning June 1, 2000, the
upgrade will cost $149.
