CHAPARRAL SOFTWARE RELEASES EZxslt 1.5, BRUSHFIRE 2 AT FILEMAKER DEVELOPER
CONFERENCE

Upgraded applications from Chaparral Software makes it fast and easy to
document FileMaker Pro solutions and create Microsoft Word documents using
data from FileMaker Pro 6 databases using XML and XSLT.

FileMaker Developer Conference, Phoenix, AZ - Aug. 25 - Chaparral Software
& Consulting Services, Inc. today released new versions of their highly
acclaimed developer tools at the FileMaker Developer's Conference.

EZxslt 1.5 is an upgrade to its application that simplifies the generation
of Microsoft Word documents using data stored in FileMaker Pro 6 databases.
EZxslt 1.5 adds powerful capabilities that support tables, headers,
footers, and finer control over the generated output. "Users have been
creating documents such as contracts, report cards, and project status
reports with EZxslt since its release", according to Chaparral President
Russell Kohn. "With EZxslt 1.5 users can now also create documents using
related data such as Invoices, Service Orders, and Course Schedules". The
table support provided in EZxslt 1.5 now allows FileMaker Pro users to
easily create flexible, multiple-column cell-based reports and forms.

Brushfire 2 is a substantial upgrade to the blazing fast and well-regarded
FileMaker Pro analysis package that adds comprehensive field, layout,
relationship, and dependency analysis reports to its suite of script
analysis capabilities. Brushfire 2 continues to use HTML as a presentation
mechanism, retains its fast performance and adds many new error and
overview reports.

The main difference between Brushfire 1.5 and Brushfire 2 is the number and
type of FileMaker objects analyzed and the depth of the reports. Where
Brushfire 1.5 focused on scripts, Brushfire 2 presents more error reports,
provides much more detail about the interdependency of FileMaker Pro
objects on the File level, as well as complete Uses and Used-By cross
referencing for Fields, Layouts, Relations and Scripts. According to the
company, the browser based interface is both efficient and flexible,
allowing developers to review code and analysis data while viewing
production code at the same time. A native Mac OS X version was also
announced.

REQUIREMENTS & AVAILABILITY

EZxslt 1.5 is available immediately for Windows and Macintosh platforms
with licensing starting at $129.95 and upgrades starting at $29.95.
