BLUE WORLD ANNOUNCES ENHANCED SUPPORT POLICIES AND NEW DELUXE SUBSCRIPTION
Free support now 90 days; Deluxe Subscription version provides discount on
upgrades and priority support.
Bellevue, WA--October 17, 2001--Blue World Communications, Inc.--pioneers
of the Web Data Engine(tm)--today announced enhancements to its support
policies and a Deluxe Subscription version of its Lasso Professional 5
Standard Edition product, released today as a beta version (see related
announcement at

Enhanced Support Policies
Effective immediately, all new product purchases include 90 days of free
technical support for up to two incidents on issues pertaining to
installation and set up. The policy applies to new, non-upgrade purchases
of all Blue World products including Lasso Professional 5 Standard Edition
Beta, Lasso Studio and Lasso Web Data Engine 3.x.
Customers who require additional support services may purchase a basic or
priority support plan in two or five incident packs.
Deluxe Subscription Version
Customers can receive one year of free upgrades and priority technical
support at a discount by purchasing a Deluxe Subscription version of Lasso
Professional 5 Standard Edition. A Deluxe Subscription version includes the
following benefits and conditions:
- Free Upgrades - Receive all paid upgrades for like versions of
Lasso Professional 5 Standard Edition at no additional charge for up to 12
months from the original date of purchase. There is at least one paid
upgrade to Lasso Professional 5 Standard Edition currently scheduled for
availability within 6 to 12 months of the initial final release of Lasso
Professional 5 Standard Edition. This paid upgrade will provide new and
enhanced features.
- Support - Total of five incidents of priority Blue World
technical support. Must be used within one year from date of purchase.
- Savings - Customers save a total of $400 with a Deluxe
Subscription version of Lasso Professional 5 Standard Edition Beta. This
includes the $200 discount for the beta version, and an additional $200
discount off the combined list price of a comparable purchase of a 5
incident priority technical support pack and at least one future upgrade
purchase.
Pricing and Availability
The Deluxe Subscription version of Lasso Professional 5 Standard Edition
Beta is immediately available exclusively from the Blue World Store at
http://store.blueworld.com.
Special pricing during the beta program includes a $200 discount from the
standard list price for new purchases of a Deluxe Subscription version of
Lasso Professional 5 Standard Edition Beta. Lasso Professional 5 Standard
Edition Beta - Deluxe Subscription version is available immediately to
first-time purchasers for $1,697 as an electronic download only, and as an
upgrade to registered owners of Lasso Web Data Engine 3.x for $1,097 as an
electronic download only.
Upon final release, standard list pricing of Lasso Professional 5 Standard
Edition - Deluxe Subscription version will be $1,897 for an electronic
download, and $1,997 for a boxed package complete with printed
documentation and CD. Standard upgrade pricing for registered owners of
Lasso Web Data Engine 3.x is $1,297 for an electronic download, and $1,397
for a boxed package with printed documentation and CD.
