Black & Bleu and Black & Bleu/PRO version 4.0

For Immediate Release

Bleu Rose Ltd. announces Black & Bleu(tm) and Black & Bleu/PRO(tm) version 4.0

Hacienda Heights, California (August 13, 2001) -

Bleu Rose Ltd. is pleased to announce version 4.0 of Black & Bleu(tm) and
Black & Bleu(tm)/PRO which are available immediately from our web site at
http://www.bleurose.com Black & Bleu(tm) is an application that provides
the most comprehensive collection of Macintosh OS error codes available
anywhere (well over 5,000). More importantly, the database includes a
detailed analysis and suggestions for dealing with many of these errors.

The "PRO" form offers the same features as the standard version but differs
in one important way, it allows you to export detailed explanations to a
file. This feature allows Technical Professionals to pass the information
on to others - something not permitted by the terms of the standard version
license.

Version 4 offers the following enhancements from the previous version:

- 307 new error codes for a total of 5,352 codes
- 7 more error categories (for a total of 192)
- PostScript errors and explanations for all of them
- Many more error code explanations
- All of the Sad Mac error codes may now be displayed as a list
- Compatible with Mac OS X (carbonized)
- Native PowerPC along with 68K support
- Either error names or category names can be displayed

In addition to these enhancements, several visual changes have been made
and some bugs were fixed. These items are documented thoroughly in the
notes which accompany Black & Bleu(tm).

Black & Bleu(tm) now offers the following features:
* 5,352 Mac OS error codes with Apple's brief descriptions
* Detailed explanations for many errors
* 192 error groups
* You can add your own notes to the error explanations
* Error codes can be listed by group, number and name
* A full database search is available for words or phrases
* Error codes can be displayed sorted numerically and alphabetically
* Sad Mac codes and explanations (including a complete list of
possible error codes)
* PostScript errors and explanations
* Hexadecimal error codes
* Error names can be copied to the clipboard
* Help is provided for finding missing libraries
* Black & Bleu will run when the startup disk is a CDROM
* A "runtime library" is available for Developers to insert the error
database into their own applications.
* Free analysis of errors that don't have a detailed explanation
* Simple to use interface
* Two types of explanations can be selected:
User orientation
Developer orientation
* Free demo available
