Intelli Innovations, Inc. Unveils Barcode Producer 4.0 For Mac OS X

Major Upgrade Offers Coupon Barcodes, ISBN Dual Numbering, New User
Interface, Background Grids, Bar Width Reduction (BWR), and more

RALEIGH, North Carolina (August 14th, 2006) -- Intelli Innovations,
Inc. today unveiled Barcode Producer 4.0, its next-generation barcode
creation software suite for Mac OS X. The new release offers major
new functionality covering 100% of the company's top 10 feature
requests, including GS1-128 coupon barcodes, ISBN dual numbering,
background grids, Bar Width Reduction (BWR), dynamic height
adjustment, and on-screen dimensional indicators.

"We've taken the best bar code software available for Mac OS X and
rewritten it from scratch," said Paul Scandariato, CTO, Intelli
Innovations, Inc. "We're thrilled to deliver smart new functionality,
while maintaining Barcode Producer's legendary ease of use and robust
feature set. It's built so anyone can create a bar code for products,
packaging, shipments, assets, and more -- without knowing anything
about the bar code creation process."

Barcode Producer 4.0 represents the biggest upgrade in the product's
history, brining comprehensive support for the latest standards in
barcode generation coming this January 2007 (including 13-digit only
ISBN barcodes). Version 4 sports a new barcode rendering engine with
options for vector EPS, Adobe PDF, and bitmap TIFF output, rigorously
tested using ISO industry standard barcode verification equipment.

Barcode Producer 4.0 includes these major new features:

- Rewritten from scratch with a new, innovative interface. The new version
delivers a user experience designed for non-technical users without
sacrificing output quality or depth of functionality. Barcode
Producer 4.0's new interface offers instant barcode previews, barcode
type recommendations, and user interface icons from The Iconfactory.

- Comprehensive 13-digit ISBN enhancements, with support for 10 and 13-digit
dual numbering, standardized 13-digit ISBN format (for use after
January 1st, 2007), dual automatic check digit calculation, variable
price indicators, customization of ISBN notations, and automatic ISBN
text sizing.

- GS1-128 Coupon Barcode Support: Barcode Producer now creates barcodes for
store and manufacturer coupons to GS1-128 / UCC/EAN-128 Coupon Code
standards. The new barcode generator supports automatic data field
guidance for all 5 standard coupon formats with comprehensive, fully
automatic field mapping.

Barcode Producer's new coupon tool supports offer codes, coupon
expiration dates, family codes, value codes, household identifiers,
and format standards for in-store and manufacturer coupon types.

- Barcode preview areas with Photoshop-style visual background grids for easy
border identification, including customizable checkerboard color patterns.

- Support for the final release of QuarkXPress 7.0.1 (Universal Binary).

- Exact barcode size control and on-screen dimensional indicators. Barcode
Producer 4.0's new rendering engine offers users the ability to enter
precise output measurements, size factors, and exact height
adjustments.

- Dynamic Height Adjustment: Automatic, optimal height management, based on
industry standards and barcode content.

- ISMN Barcode Support: Create EAN-based barcodes for sheet music.

- Bar Width Reduction (BWR) to compensate for printing process variations.
(optional add-on feature)

- In-file EPS settings: Barcode Producer's EPS output declares all barcode
generation settings in the header, offering easy access to reference data.

- Enhanced Symbology Guide: Barcode Producer's interactive guide to barcodes
now offers recommendations by category and new GS1 standard symbology names.

- Smart Printing: Barcode Producer intelligently measures barcode output for
laser printers, delivering true 600 dpi output centered on any size page.
