Adobe Advances Web Site Design With Adobe GoLive 5.0

Professional Web Authoring Tool Combines Intuitive Visual Design With
Powerful Programming Capabilities For Creating Engaging and Dynamic Web
Sites

Internet World, Los Angeles, (April 4, 2000) (Nasdaq:ADBE)-Adobe Systems
Incorporated, the leader in digital publishing for Web, print and dynamic
media, today introduced Adobe GoLive 5.0 software, the award-winning
professional Web authoring tool. Adobe GoLive 5.0 introduces numerous
innovations, including an on-board interactive editor for editing
multimedia, '360Code' that enables complete control over any Web design
source code, superior site planning and management, 'asset' check in and
out through WebDAV support, and 'smart links' that provides drag-and-drop
object-sharing with other Adobe products. Plus, advanced functionality such
as Dynamic Link simplifies the incorporation of dynamic database and
e-commerce capabilities.

"Web pages often move from designer to programmer, then back again. Using
GoLive 5.0, we'll now be able to move HTML pages and custom markup language
between the visual environment of GoLive and any text-based HTML editor
without impacting the content and structure of the document's source code,"
said Rich Grasso, designer for Answerthink, a leading e-business solutions
provider. "This will save us time and enable us to continue the evolution
of the site without negatively impacting the work already done by the
programming and database team."

Over 100 new features and enhancements in Adobe GoLive 5.0 improve
collaboration between coders and designers, increase productivity, and
simplify creation and management of dynamic Web sites. Additionally, GoLive
5.0 offers superior extensibility and Adobe will provide a Software
Development Kit (SDK).

"By providing the visual design tools, site management and reporting
features and powerful production capabilities needed to make cutting-edge
Web design simpler and more efficient, Adobe GoLive 5.0 empowers companies
to build online experiences that attract and retain customers," said Hank
Skorny, senior director of Adobe's Internet Products Group. "Adobe GoLive
5.0 provides all the powerful coding functionality that coders need, while
providing designers with the creative flexibility required for an equal
place in the Web production workflow."

Adobe GoLive 5.0 is tightly integrated with Adobe's professional Web and
graphics products, including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe
LiveMotion, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere. Together these
products make up the complete Adobe Web Solution that provides Web
professionals with everything they need to create engaging online
experiences from concept to completion.

Additionally, Adobe will provide further additions to the GoLive product
family, based on the GoLive 5 foundation that will provide collaboration,
e-business, site management and content management to the web workgroup.

Pricing and Availability
Adobe GoLive 5.0 for Macintosh and Windows is expected to be available in
the U.S. and Canada for an Estimated Street Price of US $299 in the second
quarter of 2000. The Adobe Web Collection 2.0, containing Adobe GoLive 5.0,
Adobe Illustrator 9.0, Adobe LiveMotion 1.0 and Adobe Photoshop 5.5, is
