Why worry about street cred? Because street cred is a badge of honor. Street credit must be earned. It comes from dedication to honing skills and participating in the community. As Apple professionals, we can really benefit a lot from paying more attention to how other Unix sysadmins operate. I am not saying you must be a kung-fu master at the command line, but below, I outline some more advanced techniques one should at least be familiar with to be taken seriously as a system administrator.
