MacTech plans massive 2012 event line-up across the U.S.

MacTech Magazine has announced a massive event line-up for 2012.  In 2010, MacTech did a single event, in 2011 produced seven events, but in 2012, MacTech will hold 15 events spanning the U.S.

MacTech's event line up includes a combination of its well received MacTech Boot Camp for small-to-medium sized business consultants, its new MacTech InDepth series for deep dives on single topics, and its acclaimed three-day MacTech Conference for IT Pros and Developers.

MacTech Boot Camp is specifically designed for techs and consultants supporting home users, small office/home office (SOHO), and small-to-medium sized businesses (SMB). This one-day, hotel-based seminar is designed specifically to help participants be the most successful consultants they can be.

MacTech InDepth events focus on a single topic for the day, covering it from top to bottom. Based on MacTech's proven approach for delivering a great deal of content in a short period of time, MacTech's events combine expert speakers with hand-picked vendors to bring attendees a solid understanding of the main issues surrounding a topic, answers and methodology, as well as offerings by leading solution providers.

MacTech Conference is the annual three-day event for IT pros, enterprise, and programmers/developers. This is an international event; speakers and attendees come from 40 US states and 15 countries around the globe.

Most events are one day. Three cities have back-to-back one day events where attendees can take part in one day, or the other, or both. The events start in March, and carry all the way through December, 2012.  Specifically:

  • Mar 7, MacTech Boot Camp, Seattle, WA
  • Mar 28, MacTech InDepth: Lion Server Administration, Austin, TX
  • Apr 18, MacTech Boot Camp, New York, NY
  • Apr 19, MacTech InDepth: Lion Server Administration, New York, NY
  • May 1, MacTech Boot Camp, Phoenix, AZ
  • May 17, MacTech InDepth: Network & WiFi Design & Troubleshooting, Boston, MA
  • May 18, MacTech InDepth: Mobile Device Management, Boston, MA
  • June 27, MacTech Boot Camp, Washington, DC
  • July 18, MacTech InDepth: Network & WiFi Design & Troubleshooting, Chicago, IL
  • July 19, MacTech InDepth: Mobile Device Management, Chicago, IL
  • Aug. 7, MacTech Boot Camp, San Diego, CA
  • Sept. 5, MacTech Boot Camp, Minneapolis, MN
  • Oct. 17-19, MacTech Conference, Los Angeles, CA
  • Nov. 7, MacTech InDepth: Network and WiFi Design and Troubleshooting, San Jose, CA
  • Dec. 5, MacTech Boot Camp, Miami, FL

MacTech has assembled a virtual "who's who" in the industry as the sessions chairs for these events, including:

"We are thrilled with the reaction from our attendees and sponsors at all of our events.  We've found how to build community, help people learn and network, and make for an awesome experience," says Neil Ticktin, editor-in-chief/publisher of MacTech Magazine.  Next month, I've been publisher of MacTech for 20 years.  I have never gone into a year more excited than I am about 2012."

Event sponsors are fully integrated into the event as well with MacTech's QuickTalk, and sponsor tables.

"Microsoft is excited to be a sponsor of all fifteen MacTech events in 2012. MacTech has consistently given us one of the most valuable ways for us to connect with consultants and IT Pros recommending and supporting Microsoft Office for Mac," says Susie McDonald, Microsoft Office Marketing Manager. "In fact, MacTech Conference was the best Apple related show we have been a part of in the last two years."

Registration for all events is open now. Those wanting to make sure they don't miss out, or do some last minute spending of 2011 budgets can take advantage of not only early bird pricing, but multiple event discounts. Where one-day events are normally US$495 on-site, early bird pricing is $295. MacTech Conference will hold the same pricing as 2011, with $1,299 on-site registration, and $799 early bird.  Anyone registering for more than one event can save $50 per event. Registration and location information can be found at http://www.mactech.com/events/locations .
